Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park, plans to open an “immersive water slide” in spring of 2024, the attraction announced Thursday. The slide, named Tassie’s Underwater Twist, will incorporate video projections, a synchronized video display and an orchestral score to re-create a journey through Australia’s Shark Bay seagrass meadow. “This immersive attraction promises a whirlwind of wonder and adrenaline-pumping twists,” Brad Gilmour, president of Aquatica, said in a news release. “We’ve crafted an experience that will not only delight slide enthusiasts but also create lasting memories for families and friends.” The park also touted an educational element of the new attraction, emphasizing the importance of seagrass meadows and the marine life dependent upon them.
